A wild opener in East Rutherford ended with the Steelers pulling off a one- core win in the final minutes, The Jets jumped out to an early lead behind Justin Fields' dual threat play and Breece Hall’s powerful runs, but the Steelers clawed back with quick strikes in the fourth quarter, capped by Chris Boswell’s 60-yard field goal and a Jalen Ramsey PBU that shook the nation.

Positives:
Rodgers looked like a quarterback reborn , calm in the pocket, accurate on timing routes, and poised under pressure. His connection with Dk Metcalf throughout the game and Calvin Austin in clutch situations reminded everyone that Pittsburgh’s passing game has serious weapons. The offensive line improved in the second half, giving Rodgers enough time to carve up the Jets secondary and sustain long drives. Special teams also came through in a big way: Boswell’s game winning field goal showcased reliability in a pressure moment.
Negatives:
The offensive line started rough, allowing four sacks early, which stalled drives and put the team in a hole. The defense struggled to contain Fields in the first half, giving up chunk plays on both the ground and through the air. Penalties and mental lapses extended Jets drives, and Pittsburgh had to rally rather than control the game from the start.
What we learned about the Steelers:
Aaron Rodgers was never "washed"
The passing game is in solid shape with Metcalf and Austin, but depth behind them remains a question.
Offensive line protection is inconsistent and needs more cohesion against stronger defensive fronts.
Defense can generate stops late but struggles with speed and dual-threat QBs early.

Justin Fields showed his dual threat ability, combining 218 passing yards and 67 rushing yards, a passing touchdown and two rushing td's. Breece Hall dominated early with 107 yards on the ground, controlling tempo and giving the offense balance. The Jets defensive front pressured Rodgers sporadically and created key third down stops in the first half.
Negatives:
Special teams mistakes were brutal a key fumble late in the fourth gave Pittsburgh a short field, swinging momentum. The offense stalled in the second half and failed to convert opportunities in the red zone. The defensive adjustments weren’t enough to stop Pittsburgh’s late drives, exposing holes in coverage and linebacker support.
What we learned about the Jets:
Justin Fields is a legitimate franchise QB capable of carrying the team, but support is critical.
Breece Hall is a true hybrid back who can control the pace, but the offensive line must hold up against elite fronts.
Special teams errors directly cost the game and demand immediate correction.
The defense can create stops early but struggles with late game adjustments.
Closing out games against experienced QBs remains an Achilles heel.
