Philly’s Offense: Same Bully-Ball Bones, New OC Fingerprints

Heading into the 2025–2026 season, Kevin Patullo, the new OC of the Philadelphia Eagles, will now operate the call sheet instead of Nick Sirianni. Patullo has been clear on his plans of attack: spread the ball, play fast, stress defenses horizontally, then knife them vertically.

Don’t expect a complete revamp of the offense, as the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Expect a lot of the same or similar formations we’re all used to seeing, with minor tweaks in the sequencing and timing of some concepts. Expect more motion to expose coverages, and A.J. Brown will likely spend more time isolated toward the boundary. The RPOs and choice concepts are still going to play a dominant role in the Eagles’ game plan.

Year Two of Saquon in Philly

Saquon Barkley, after last season, will most likely always be the headliner for the Eagles, with his historic campaign last season putting up 2,000+ rushing yards, 2,200+ yards from scrimmage, and averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

What to expect in 2025: this year, expect to see the same Saquon you saw last year. Now that the team knows the strengths and weaknesses of their offense with Saquon, they can utilize him in an even more schematic way, having an entire offseason to make plays designed for Saquon Barkley instead of the traditional in-season five-day practice schedule. However, the Eagles recent added to their rb room adding Aj Dillion  a pure power back.  It will be intresting to see how they incorpate them both into the offense.
